What qualifies a person to operate our vessels.

Coastal Crew Boat Leasing's vessels are commercial vessels and therefore are under Transport Canada Small Vessel Regulations.  To be a qualified operator one must have the following

  • Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP)

  • Radio Operators Certificate (Maritime)

  • Any approved 2 day First Aid Ticket

  • Marine Emergency Duties A1,A2 or A3

What is required for Insurance

As per the terms of the lease, the lessor is responsible for both Hull and Machinery and Liability insurance.

What equipment is included with the vessel?
Everything you need to get going

 

 

  • Transport Canada Approved Life Jackets

  • Seating for 12 plus operator

  • valid and approved flares

  • Spare set of propellers

  • Basic tool kit 

  • Spare Fuel Filter (Volvo and Racor)

  • 10 Lb ABC Fire extinguisher

  • Engine Compartment CO2 extinguisher

  • Garmin VHF, Radar and GPS

  • Automatic Identification System (AIS)

  • Emergency Positioning Indicating Radiobeacon (Epirb)

  • Vessel Registration and Stability report

  • Vessel Log book

  • Full tank of fuel (diesel)

 

What industries are these vessels suited for

Welded aluminum boats are widely used on the Coast of British Columbia due to their strength and reliability in getting people safely where they need to be.  Common industries that would use such a vessel include Tourism, Construction, Logging, Silviculture, Aquaculture, Hydro,  Mining, Port Operations and more.
